About the design:
Designed by Emily, this Surfála twist is based on a real Irish stamp from the set of commemorative stamps issued by An Post in the 1950s. 'An Tóstal' at the time was a series of festivals around the country that showcased Irish culture – arts, sports and communities. The stamp was originally designed by Fergus O' Ryan, and Emily has put her own Surfála 'stamp' on it, celebrating the date 27th February 1966 as the day the Surf Club of Ireland was established, marking the official dawn of Ireland’s surfing culture.
